Alloa Community Council Interim Elections

As a result of the Interim election three more people joined Alloa Community Council.  We look forward to meeting these people and hearing in more details what is happening in their part of Alloa.

Former St Johns School

As a result of comments from Local residents the Community Council as a statutary consultee made comments on the exisitng development plans and encourged Clacks Council to keep the development in keeping with the surrounding buildings in the area.

Alloa Park Drive

The bottum of the drive often floods we recorded this video on Facebook and it is one of our most watched videos.

Recent Meetings attended by Community Councillors
Several Community Councillors attended the Budget Consultation at Alloa Town Hall the Local Planning Meetings and Meetings about the Single Outcome Agreement for Clackmannanshire.  In all events were influencing what was discussed and decided. December 2013.

 Crossing Claremont/Kellie Place

Several Community Councillors have been campaigning on this matter, see also guest book.  On the 26-May-2013 the line painting team were busy adding lines.  How do folk find the change.  Is it easier to get across the road safely now.  I suspect it will not slow down the traffic on Claremont, Victoria Street, Alexander Drive which is also some thing the Community Council is discussing

Community Plan
The work is on going but the main priority of the Community Council is the Fun Day and the Ball.
Fun Day and Themed Ball
A sub group of the community council met on Monday 20-05-2013 to agree dates, venues and themes for these events. 
Ride and Chose
A Ride and Choose option was discussed for Busses and Railways.  Further discussion with other Community Councils was suggested
Future Guest Speakers
Future guest speakers will include Someone from Cleansing, Scotsrail and Forth Valley NHS.
